Hero Arts | Thank You For Your Kindness

Hello friends! This has been a very busy week for me and I have fallen a bit behind with my blogging, time to catch up! I’d like to share a simple card I created using a few goodies from Hero Arts.

The sentiment for this handmade card, Thanks for Your Kindness, was inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her Share Handmade Kindness campaign.

To create this project I used one of the stenciled backgrounds I made a few month back, see THIS blog post and video to learn how easy it is to make this background with the help of a Bold Floral stencil and two colors of ink.

I’m really enjoying working with felt lately (I have a few videos coming up featuring felt), so I just had to die cut the Thanks out of peach felt for my card (I used Peach Wool Felt from WPlus9). I added a layer of adhesive (I used Scrapbook Adhesives Adhesive Sheets, Stick It from Ken Oliver is also a good product for this) to the back of the felt before die cutting it to make it sticky. “For Your Kindness” was stamped in Soft Apricot – I feel it matches the color of felt plus the mix of Butter Bar and Ultra Pink used for the background perfectly.

Both the felt die cut and the stamped sentiment were adhered onto a circle die cut out of vellum, that helped to mute the central part of the background and helped the sentiment to be more prominent on the card.

I also decorated my card with several clear sequins and a few clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.
