Hello friends! Today I have a simple Christmas card to share made using one of the new Bold Prints background stamps from Hero Arts. This is a very simple to make project and can be easily mass produced. If you aren’t into watercolor (the lights and the background have been both watercolored) you can easily use other coloring mediums such as markers or pencils (in fact, I just got another idea with stamp set!).

CARD DETAILS
I started working on my card by heat embossing Christmas Lights background onto Distress watercolor paper in Gold Embossing powder. Next, I used my watercolors and colored in each of the lights. I actually used just the dot chart, Hero Arts Daniel Smith dot chart and I had more than enough both red and blue for my coloring.
I trimmed my watercolor panel to 4 x 5 1/2″ and foam mounted onto an A2 top folding card. To create a sentiment for this card I used one of my most favorite stamps from this year – Script Seasons Greetings from Hero Arts and heat embossed it in white onto red cardstock. Nothing beats the look of white on red for the Holidays. I trimmed it into a banner and foam mounted onto my card.
To spice the background up a bit I used a glitter pen and added a generous amount of glitter onto each of the lights. Finally, I added a bit of gloss and dimension to each using Glossy Accents.

Simple design and a beautiful card 🙂 Love the glossy accents touch! They look so yummy 😉
I love the added shine on the lights!!
I love this background stamp! I used the glow-in-the-dark Nuvo drops on the bulbs in one instance and was very happy with the result (although the colors in the range aren’t very Christmassy. You do have to “charge it” by putting it in very bright light for a while, and then take it into a dark place to see the effect, which fades after a while, until you “recharge it.”
Oooh, what a beautiful background made with that gorgeous stamp Yana. Just a wonderful card.
Beautiful card! I love this fabulous background stamp and wanted to buy it but it wasn’t in the budget. What do ya do! Love that you embossed with gold glitter. You watercoloured the little bulbs just beautifully and all the extra little details you took the time to do just adds so much to the finished result. LOVE IT!!!
Great inspiration! Love everything.
