Hello there! I have a set of romantic “Paris in Spring” Birthday cards to share today.
I was browsing Pinterest the other day and came across this beautiful image of Eiffel tower, I fell in love immediately and decided to re-create it on paper and make a hand stamped card. I love my results and hope you will do too!

CARD DETAILS
To create these cards I first heat embossed gorgeous Eiffel Tower image from Hero Arts in Gold and White Satin Pearl embossing powders onto Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock panel cut to 4 x 5 1/4″. I wanted to use gold, but I also wanted to see how Satin White Pearl powder would look on Gray, so this is why I made two cards. I definitely love them both and I need to make a note to use Satin embossing powder more often.
Using coordinating dies I die-cut four sets of images out of white cardstock. I kept my dies connected together and simply cut white paper in Platinum 6 die cutting and embossing machine. Lately, if dies are connected, I prefer to keep them that way (if I don’t forget) and first cut the shape out and later do my stamping. I find this to take less time especially since I don’t have to position dies over all of these tiny florals.
I saved one of the negative pieces, placed it in my MISTI and inlaid positive die cuts into negative openings. This created a holder for my die cuts and allowed me to do double stamping using MISTI stamp positioner. You don’t really need to do this, these can be stamped using a clear block, but since I was using brand new stamps I felt the need to double stamp my images for perfect results.
I used Soft Olive ink color for the branch and Soft Pink along with Bubble Gum for the flowers and birds. Hero Arts has a suggested color combo for this stamp set and it includes Soft Sky, Bubble Gum, Navy and Cup O’ Joe colors.
After stamping all of my pieces I placed them onto my heat embossed panel to figure out where exactly I wanted each piece placed. I wanted it to look like Eiffel Tower is far away in the background and cherry blossoms are in the foreground.
I used glue to adhere branches and foam adhesive to adhere birds and flowers.
Lastly, I stamped a sentiment that reads “Have a Beautiful Birthday” in black ink.
The photo below shows a bit of the came project with White Satin Pearl heat embossing – love the result! To finish my cards I adhered several clear droplets in small and medium size.
