Hero Arts | Fill Tummy With Cake – Monster Birthday Card

Hello, friends! I have a silly Monster Birthday card to share with you today. You might have already seen it in Hero Arts Summer catalog, I made this card awhile back and mailed it off to Hero HQ, but also made identical recently for my hubby’s Birthday. He loved it!

CARD DETAILS

I started working on my card by stamping and coloring the monster, speech bubble, party hat and slice of cake. I stamped images in Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored using Copic markers. After my coloring was done, I masked the monster off and blended a very light layer of Soft Pool ink to add a hint of color to the background.

I fussy cut the other images out and set them aside. To create the main background panel I used one of the new Scribble Bold Prints background stamp and stamped it in Soft Granite onto Simon’s Fog cardstock panel. I die-cut a circle out and foam mounted this panel onto my colored monster panel; adhered the cluster onto A2 top folding card base.

Next, I foam mounted my additional images and also stamped a simple sub sentiment – “Nom Nom Nom” and ” I Could Eat You Up” and also foam mounted those onto my card. Lastly, I embellished this project using Hero’s Ombre Green sequins.
