Hello, there! I have another project using one of the Color Layering stamps from Hero Arts Spring 2017 release – Color Layering Croissant. You might have already seen this card in their catalog, I wanted to also share it on my blog and include instructions in case you’d like to re-create it.

CARD DETAILS
To re-create this project you’ll want to start by doing stamping first. Stamp color layering croissant image using Soft Vanilla, Soft Apricot and Caramel inks onto white cardstock panel cut to 4 x 5 1/4″. Also stamp one of the strawberries next to it using Crimson, Strawberry, Green Apple and Moss ink colors. Stamp sentiment in black ink. My sentiment, It’s Your Birthday, Treat Yourself, comes from Birthday Messages stamp set.
Dry emboss stamped panel using Luggage Tag Alphabet coordinating dies – I kept my dies connected together so that I could use them as a plate to create unique embossing. I also didn’t use embossing sandwich as listed in my Platinum machine instructions manual, but rather removed top plate and substituted it with a few pieces of cardstock to create a less deep impression, less visible embossing (this way my stamping ended up not being distorted).
I stamped one more strawberry and some blueberries using Ombré Light Purple to Grape Juice and Passion Flower ink pads onto a piece of white cardstock, cut those out and foam mounted onto my card. There are coordinating dies available for this set, I cut my images out using scissors as I didn’t have them at the time.
Lastly I foam mounted my entire panel onto an A2 top folding white card base.

A croissant wouldn’t have been the first thing I thought of, to put on the front of a card, but this card is fabulous. Adding yet another Hero Arts layering stamp to my Wish List.
