Hello friends and happy Monday! It’s been so chilly and gloomy down here lately, I cannot wait for Spring to arrive. Guilty to admit we still have our Christmas decor up (simply because I haven’t had time to put it all away), but I’m planning to take it down as soon as I can find a spare moment and put some Spring flowers up!

CARD DETAILS

While I don’t yet have Spring decor in my home, I do have it in my craft corner – in form of flowers and blooms! Today’s card uses some of my all-time favorite floral stamps from Simon Says Stamp plus a new sentiment set from Cathy Z. What could be better?

I started making this card by stamping & coloring my flowers. I went with some of my go-to Copic marker colors for quick & easy colored look. I used: RV23, RV10, RV00, RV09 for the flowers and YG13, YG01, YG00and YG03 for the leaves. I also used coordinating dies to cut these beauties out.

To stamp a background I used Fossil ink color and my good old diagonal stripe background stamp. The simpler, the better, right? I trimmed my panel to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ and adhered onto A2 white top folding card base. Next, I created a sentiment panel by stamping “Let’s Be Besties” and “Love You” in black ink on white cardstock. I cut it out, matted with glitter paper in color similar to my background and foam mounted the entire panel onto the card.

I also used foam adhesive for the flowers and leaves and once everything was set in places I embellished my card using a few sequins from the Satin Gown mix and a few dots using Antique Rose from Nuvo.

Now I just need to get it together and actually mail this card! Thank you for stopping by today!

  1. Yana, your card is beautiful. I completely understand what you said about leaving your Christmas decor up – I don’t like taking ours down, either. Most January’s here in Ohio are grey and gloomy, so having some color up makes me feel better. I left my colorful light set up around the sliding glass window to see some beautiful colors when I look out to watch the birds at our feeders. Don’t stop making your gorgeous cards. Thanks again. Happy New Year.

  2. So beautiful Yana. These blooms are so pretty in this colour and the shades of green does make me long for spring…..However, it is still a ways away….Ahhhh. Thanks for the promise of spring, it helps. haha

  3. Yana, you’re not the only one with Christmas decorations up! LOL I HOPE to get to it sometime today! 😉 Crossing my fingers here! LOL I LOVE your card! It is SO BEAUTIFULLY COLORED & I LOVE the Striped Background you created too!! 😉 The colors are WONDERFUL as well!!!! SUCH WONDERFUL INSPIRATION HERE!!! 😀 (A little sophisticated too, with the color of the striped background!) 😉

Like what you see? Drop me a comment! Thanks!
