Hello crafters! Today’s video is brought to you by Colorado Craft Company and no, you are not seeing double! I did share their January 2021 release in early January, the one featuring Anita Jeram’s illustrations, and today I have another video to share featuring the brand new Big & Bold release!

VIDEO TUTORIAL
For this video, I decided I’d make slimline cards. These florals are so large, it is only fitting they are used on bigger card size. I started working on all my cards by stamping the images in alcohol marker friendly ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I used my MISTI stamping tool for stamping. I knew I’d be coloring these with my Copic markers, so I stamped images in Memento Tuxedo Black, and similarly to my Anita Jeram cards, I re-stamped the outlines, once images were colored, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink to have true black outlines.

When you work with images this large – they are a treat to color. There’s room for experimentation. There’s room to really take your time and enjoy the process. There’s room to try out new techniques or coloring mediums. I was in the mood for alcohol marker coloring, so I used some of my go-to colors and simple coloring techniques to bring these florals to life.

These cards are so pretty. I like to color using alcohol markers inspired by card creators like you.
I prefer A2 cards, but those magnolias are perfect for the slim line size. GORGEOUS! Pink and gray are a beautiful match. Love it!
Oh my, love this! I am a beginner in colouring with copics but love learning ,and so glad how you describe everything so detailed! This is a new stamp company to me and will research their website! Where do you purchase your slimline envelopes and possibly the card base?
These are beautiful, Yana! I am meeting all of your giveaway criteria, woohoo! 🙂
I mostly colour with copics, but every now and again i venture out to Polychromos or watercolouring with Distress Inks.
Yana, these cards are stunning! I received some Zig Clean watercolor pens for Christmas so watercolor is my favorite way to color. (I’m subscribed and followed CCC as LoveAutumn36.)
I just love your cards Yana but the one using the watermark ink really jumped out at me.
Right now I seem to be creating slim line cards.
I love Colorado Craft card stamps.
I am so happy that you are on board with them and showcasing their releases. I have been following you for a long time and always enjoy what you create.
These dogwoods, magnolias and lilacs are gorgeous AND so are your cards!!! The color palettes and compositions are amazing! I enjoy watercolor, colored pencil and alcohol marker!
These are some really georgous card’s and stamp sets, love that these stamps are big enough to fit on slimline card’s the way you colored these stamps and how you did the background on your last two card’s is absolutely stunning, my favorite way to color is using alchol markers I’m not as good as you in alcohol marker coloring yet but hope to be soon, always a joy watching you create thanks for the tips
Oh I just love these stamps and your cards. I do follow you and so glad you have made these Slimline.
My favourite way to colour is Copics & coloured pencils. Thank you so much for chance to win these beautiful stamps.
I only really make A2 size cards but I absolutely love your slimline cards using these beautiful floral images! I enjoy using copic markers but I’m not super comfortable. I like using a variety of coloring mediums…depends on the mood or image! I think my go to is water coloring!!
Thanks for sharing these beautiful creations!
I tend to make A2 cards but love slimline and plan to make some soon. I am new to colouring and have started with alcohol markers but I want to try water-colouring as well. I really appreciate you explaining what you are doing and WHY you are doing it! It is so helpful! Your cards a gorgeous. I am going to try you colouring technique.
I do like Copic coloring, just have to keep practicing. And these large flower sets seem like the perfect way to do so! The Lilacs are definitely on my wish list and thanks for the wonderful ideas!
I still make standard invitation sized cards most, but I enjoying making the larger slimline size as it is such a different space to “play with.” Thank you for the lovely card samples; it really does make a difference when you stamp over the image with the black versafine after coloring.
Beautiful cards! I make A2 cards. I’ve only made 1 slimline card since it was part of a card kit. I really liked the way the card turned out and will make more in the future.
Beautiful slimline cards! Love these gorgeous floral designs!
I am loving my Zig markers for coloring!
I am subscribed to your blog newsletter, and I follow Colorado Craft Company on Instagram!
Your cards are beautiful. I like to play with watercolor. I’m not very good—that’s why I call it play. These beautiful large flowers would be fun to color.
Hi, again, Yana –
Wow! Two videos on the same day! Lucky us!! In the CCC video at the end, you ask us which card size is our favorite. I would probably have to say A2, although a 5×7 gives a crafter a lot of room for a scene or a stamp like the new CCC ones: big and bold. Let’s not forget that slimlines have their place, too – love what you have done with them above! The text above states that we are to tell “your favorite way to color.” I still like colored pencils (Prismacolor) the best, I think. I am slowly getting better at Copic coloring. I have a ton of Tombow colors and love them, too.
Hope your day is fantastic! So great to see videos from you!!
A virtual hug –
Lori S in PA
Your slimline cards were amazing. I loved the colors you used. I really liked that watermark background and want to try it. I do have the Versamark ink pad which is watermark. I need to use more grey, also. Breathtaking and glad you’re using the Colorado Craft large and bold stamps as wondered how to use them. Thank you so much.
Beautiful cards and stamps. I love using colored pencils most.
Hello Yana,
My go to size of card is A2 and sometimes 5×6. But you have inspired with this release of Big & Bold with your colouring with copics and your background choices for colour and stamping. Many thanks!
Happy New Year!
Donna
I always love your cards and it is always a treat watching your videos. You always make it look so easy. I am a horrible colorer but I find the wood less watercolor pencils are easier than anything. My health prevents me from crafting as much as I like but I still try whenever I can. Thank you for all you do for us.
These cards are beautiful. I like to use alcohol markers and pencils to color. I pay close attention to your coloring style and then try it out. Thank you for the inspiration.
A2 is my fav. Love your designs & Colorado Craft Bold & Beautiful Florals. Thanks for your inspiration.
These florals are gorgeous! I always enjoy seeing you color!
Love your coloring! Thanks for the copic tips! The lilac was my favourite but I love them all 🙂
I loved the video!! Thank you so much!! I’m a traditionalist, so my favorite card size is A2, but I also recently bought some supplies to try the new mini-slim style.
Love these cards. You do such a great job of explaining exactly how you accomplish the end result. I like using alcohol markers and colored pencils, though I am really just learning. I have tried some of your techniques and loved them. My husband has even commented on them.
Gorgeous cards as always, Yana! I just love these new big bold flowers! I love to create larger size cards and am so pleased the new slimline cards have become so popular! I think it really helps to make the card special! Thanks so much for sharing your helpful colouring hints!! Take care! 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! Favorite card size is A2, but these cards have inspired me to try out slimline cards again. Thank you for this tutorial!
Your cards are beautiful! I love CCC! I like to use alcohol markers and color (watercolor) pencils. Thank you for sharing your tips especially about the watermark ink!
Beautiful! So elegant. My go to coloring technique is with color pencils. But I do enjoy my copic markers as well.
I love your stunning creations, Yana, & all of these stamps need to be in my crafty space soon!! My favorite coloring technique is pencils right now but I am practicing my watercoloring too so hope to get better at that. I have beena subscriber for a long time & love your awesome posts! I’m also a Colorado Craft Instagram follower!
Wow! I’ve been stamping since 1998 and I haven’t seen a more beautiful Magnolia design such as this. The closest is an old PSX wooden stamp I had many years ago. Definitely on my wish list and can’t wait to use my fave Copic colours as well. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent ❤️ Love from Michelle, Australia x
Girl, how do you do it? How do you continue to come up with such great card design ideas as well as color combos?!
Beautiful cards. Love the flowers. Great slimline stamp and die set. Thank you for all your tips.
I love these stamps, and Colorado Stamp Company! I mostly make A2 Cards, but am beginning to make Slim line cards, as well.
Really beautiful cards
I have done both. Years ago, I made slimline but I still tend to do A2 cards more often. I do like your cards today so you may inspire me to do a slimline soon. The magnolias and dogwoods: hard to choose
Gorgeous cards and flowers! I use color pencils and watercolors to color my cards. I am already subscribed to your newsletter.I love 3C!
I love water coloring! Not great at it but just love the media! Beautiful big flowers! My favorites card size it A2- 4 1/4 X 51/2. But I did make all 56 of my Christmas cards in a slimline size! So I experiment with different sizes. Love the coloring on these stamps. Thank you.
Love the dimension in your cards. The Big and Bold dogwood and magnolia flower stamps are now on my wishlist. My favorite card size is A2.
I have just recently started purchasing stamps from CCC. I love them, especially their big and bold sets, and I love that they are made in the USA. This release is just gorgeous. I love how you used them to make slim line cards. My mom sent me a set of Promarkers from the UK, and these are my favorite to use when coloring. I want to venture into Copics, but have no idea which versions will be the best for a beginner.
I usually make A2 cards, but I am so inspired by these slimline cards–the dogwood card is my favorite!
Stunning. Love watching you color! I’d say my favorite way to color florals is using coordinating stencils and ink blending!!!
I love these stamps. I watched video twice because I can’t decide which ones to buy!! I like to b use copics but need practice so these are a big open space to practice. They’d be lovely in pencil too
Hi Yana! Your cards are beautiful My favorite size is A2 but I also love how slimline cards look and am starting to play with that size. Thanks for sharing your detours along the way. It is encouraging
As usual beautiful cards. I think my favorite of these is the Dogwood one. ❤️ Your use of markers!
1st of all, thank you for this opportunity 2nd i like to color w/Copics and i like the flick technique shown to me by YOU! And a bit of watercoloring too. Thank you and your cards are BEAUTIFUL
