Hello! Today I have something very special to share with all of you and I also have a giveaway to thank you for being my loyal subscribers and viewers. There are actually 3 giveaways sponsored by Colorado Craft Company.
Colorado Craft Company is a newer stamp company. I have shared a video and several projects with their products back in July 2019 and I had an absolute blast creating with their stamps. What I love most about their designs is their huge size. The images, especially in their Big & Bold line, are very large and easily take center stage on an A2 card and can readily be used on larger projects.
Like this project? Pin it and save for later | Curious about my project photography? Click for details.
I have 4 cards to share with you all featuring their new Big & Bold stamp set – Love’s Kiss, this is a new design for January 2020. There are 3 new Big & Bold stamp sets and several other sets releasing this month – you can see all new designs HERE.
These sets are available exclusively at Simon Says Stamp for the first 2 days after the launch, so January 3rd and January 4th, and after that, on January 5th they will also become available on the Colorado Craft Company’s website.
VIDEO TUTORIAL
Watch my video tutorial below or on Youtube to learn how I made the cards I’m sharing today.
BIG & BOLD SETS BY COLORADO CRAFT COMPANY
These stamp sets do have a bit of a higher price point, but they are larger in size and are very practical for those who like to color. Each of the Big & Bold sets features one large size image that easily takes up the entire space of an A2 card and the stamp sets also have a number of coordinating sentiments done in various styles to complement the image.
Because of the size of these images, you have the freedom to really go to town with your favorite coloring mediums and add as many details as you like. You also have a lot of room to dress up your cards with additional mediums and add in more detail with a white pen for example, or glossy accents. If you are not into coloring, the Love’s Kiss is perfect for you as all you need is a couple of ink pads and some embossing powder and you’ve got yourself a classy card for a girlfriend or Valentine’s Day.
CARD DETAILS
I love makeup and when I saw the Love’s Kiss stamp set I got very excited because I knew I would be able to experiment with my ink pads in a different way, in a way as if I was to do my lips.
When you do your lip you’d usually use a pencil to line the lip and the pencil typically is the same color as your lipstick or a shade darker. Sometimes you can also add a bit of lighter lipstick color to the center of the lip or add some gloss on top if you’d like a shiny, glossy lip. With all of this in mind, I looked through my stash to find the best supplies I could use to create a realistic-looking lip on paper.
The first thing that came to mind was ombre ink pads from Hero Arts. They have 3 colors of ink in them – a light, a medium and a dark and work really well with solid images such as these lips. The darkest color would be used around the edge of the lip, the outside edge and the lightest color on the inside.
It is very helpful to use a stamping tool such as MISTI or similar as it will allow you to double or even triple stamp your image in the exact same spot. I used Red ombre for the red lip, Pink ombre for the pink lip, Purple ombre for the purple and Peach for the peach one.
I wanted the lips to appear shiny, glossy and I wanted them to be slightly raised above the background. I was able to achieve this with the help of embossing powder, clear embossing powder.
As with applying the color, I’ve applied the embossing powder, or the gloss, several times to have more shine on the lips. Best to use regular clear embossing powder, not detailed embossing powder as this image is not detailed, it actually needs a chunkier powder for better coverage. Repeat adding gloss 2 to 4 times and heat set the powder each time with your heat tool. The lips will become more and more dimensional with each layer.
The Love’s Kiss stamp set comes with several sentiments, I picked one that reads “A Good Kiss is Worth Another” by Marylin Monroe and stamped it in black ink just below the lips. There’s also a little beauty mark in the stamp set, and I stamped one in Vintage Sepia ink above the lips for some added interest.
If you don’t have these ombre ink pads, you can achieve a similar look using your regular ink pads and just do some layered inking. Watch my video for the how-to.
I trimmed the panels to 4 x 5 1/4” and foam mounted them to A2 white side folding card bases to finish my cards.

I love the purple lips. Purple is my go to color!
I really enjoyed all of the colors you used. But there’s something about that classical red lip that I think is my favorite.
This is such a versatile set. I love it and Marilyn Monroe. My favorite lip color is actually a blend of pink and toffee colors.
Those are amazing stamps and your cards are beautiful!
WOW! They are all beautiful colours, but my fav. is the dark red. TFS.
As always, you just make beutiful cards. Any company should be proud to have you promote their products.
Of the cards you made, I like the pink the best. My favorite lip color is more of a natural rosey color with a hint of shine.
It’s gotta be pink! Happy New Year Yana!
Such an unbelievable stamp set! Colorado Craft Company has some fabulous designers…..my favorite lip color is the berry pink, similar to the second one at the end of your video. Thanks, Yana, for you fabulous ideas!
Usually I like purple based lips, but when I think of Marilyn Monroe, I think red. Red wins with this cute card.
Wow, gorgeous cards, I love these glossy lips! My favorite lip color is a dark peachy pink color, like one of your cards.
Love these cards….love all the colours, but the pink would have to be my favorite! Love the Big & Bold line
Love the red!
These cards are stunning, yet so simple! I love the red lip, I really wish I could pull that off in real life!
This big lips design is amazing <3 I love pastele pale peachy colours on the lips, like porcelain dolls :).
I’m a redhead, so I can’t wear the dark red, but I absolutely love it on these cards!
I absolutely love those lips!! I’m a nude girl for my lips that is.
Teehee…♡♡♡
OMG… THAT LIPSTICK STAIN STAMO IS A MUST HAVE !!!!!! Though i dont have ombre ink pads i am excited to use them with mini in cubes. Also make matte lips with oxide inks maybe since they give a chalky finish.
My favourite colour is the purple and plum lipstick stain but i also love the good old traditional red lip
Love the purple lips and the beauty mark! Always enjoy your videos.
Absolutely love this stamp set! The perfect red lip demands attention. A red lip is fierce, leaves a lasting impression and can make people wonder what you’ve been up to!
WOW ! Has Revlon seen these shades of lipstick yet ? Thank you for the video of how to build up shine & texture. I know it wasn’t one of your favourite colours but I adored the purple lips. I wear a lot of fun colours, I like purples, black, blue & green, all depends on what I feel like.x
Love Colorado Craft Company stamps, especially the Big and Bold line. Your design is perfect with the ombré lips. I love the boldness of the red .
These big stampsets are so cool and unique! Thanks Yana for sharing your cards and for the giveaway. I’m not a make-up addicted, but I found out I like red lipsticks – I want to try the purple ones too!
Oh My goodness! I Love Those Lips!
Thank you Yana for sharing your oh so creative ideas.I love the Lines from the Colorado Craft co.
Thank you Colorado Craft co.For this incredible giveaway.
I love this stamp set. I love and berry or dark wine colored lipsticks. Especially when I have polish to match
Love the card! The red is my favorite…although I couldn’t pull off that color in real life! I have several of the Hero hombre pads but I don’t use them very often, so thanks for the creative nudge.
You’ve made another winning design with this stamp set….love it. My favorite was the red lips, for me, it was the perfect shade.
Love this card! I’ve always loved larger stamps, and this one is wonderful. I was thinking it could be used at the New Year, too, with that saying “Kiss Me At Midnight.”
I love CCC’s large images especially since I generally make 5×7 cards! I would have to say the deep red lip really captures my attention most, however all the color combinations are lovely! Thanks for the chance to win this amazing prize package!
I absolutely love the pink lip! I enjoy your card designs.
Ruby red
What a fun set of cards and I really like all the sentiments. The purple lips are amazing and I like how bold they look. Thanks for the video.
That is just so fun! Great cards and what a wonderful stamp set!
Love these larger images and the pink lips are my favorite.
I think this is my favorite video of yours…ever! Love it!
LOVE, Love, LOVE these cards, the new stamps and the shared technique, Yana. As lips and Marilyn are particular obsessions of mine, these will definitely be added to my increasingly massive stamp collection. I’m a big champion of larger and bolder stamp and dies like these (and Bright Rosa), especially because I predominately make larger than A2 sized cards!
I really like the cards with pink and the coral lips, with the dark read and purple ones following. I commented on your Instagram post, which I saw earlier this morning, so again, TFS and #smooches
Whoops! Forgot to mention my favorite. Has to be the purple! So fun and different!
All the colors are great, but I really like that red for a Valentine’s Day card!
Love 3C stamps and you’ve done an amazing job with the lips! All of the colors are spectacular, depending on so many factors, but I prefer the pink lips and would love to win this package so I too can experiment with color!
Thank you for all the embossing tips! Wondered how you got those beautiful lips! Love the pink but ruby red is delicious!!
Although I like the red lips, the pink is my favourite! A simple and impactful card, lovely!
Yana – beautiful cards as always. I love the red one, because that is my favourite lip colour. I’ve tried signing up for your newsletter several times, but I never seem to get the confirmation email to finalize my subscription. I’ve tried again, hopefully it works.
OMG – my subscription worked this time – must be my new mail server or something! YAY!
Great video Yana! I’m not much of a makeup wearer myself, but I always love when someone pulls off a bold red lip.
This card came together beautifully! I love CCCs stamps and this one in particular is perfect for Valentines Day. I love color, so having to choose one as my favorite is tough. But I’m going with pink! Thank you Yana
These bold stamps are awesome! The big kiss works especially well for Valentine’s and that classic red lipstick look is my fave. The technique you used looks fabulous, darling. Imagine my best Marilyn Monroe imitation.
The lips are gorgeous. I love these cards. I mostly use nude lipstick everyday but on that special occasion it has to be red.
