Card a month is a monthly video series on my blog. Once a month, usually on the 2nd or 3rd Friday I share a new handmade card along with a video tutorial. I hope you’ll enjoy!
Today I have a simple card with a bit of watercolouring and brushwork. This idea was inspired by a bunch of different brush stroke-like stamps that are so popular these days. I was waiting for a stamp set like that myself (I finally got it, yay!) and while I was waiting I decided to use an actual brush and try to paint the background by hand.
So here’s a card I ended up creating – very simple and very easy to do. The video tutorial explains everything and shows how the background was done. Enjoy!

thanks Amy Lou!
This is lovely and I like the brushstrokes as the background. I’ve never used the color box inks as watercolors with a brush and will definitely try this!
