While Creativation show back in January was very busy and hectic I managed to find a few spare minutes to walk (or I should say run) the show floor and see what’s new.
One of the new stamp companies that caught my eye was Studio Katia – a stamp company from Canada. I liked their designs (and the quality of their stamps – they are made in the USA) and picked up a few to play with.
CARD DETAILS
I know a lot of you don’t like to shop abroad because of the shipping cost so I was happy to find Studio Katia stamps at Simon Says Stamp! The stamp set I used for this card is from the latest February 25th release and Simon already has it in stock, yay!
I used a beautiful Together We Bloom floral stamp set to create this card. A little bit of masking was involved to stamp the second flower that is facing sideways. I used Simon’s Intense Black ink and Neenah Solar White cardstock for my stamping.
I used my Copic markers to do quick coloring but I can see this flower being colored in a number of ways using various mediums, I can’t wait to try watercolor pencils for a softer look.
I used my MISTI and stamped Together We Bloom sentiment, I love that font, I slightly overlapped my flower. I also added a white heat embossed Hello Friend message created using stamps from the Pink Winter set.
This is a 4 Bar size card, I made a matching envelope liner to go with it and I also added several clear drop using Nuvo drops in Morning Dew.
P.S. I get a lot of questions if I know a stamp company who has Ukrainian or Russian sentiments, Katia, the owner, is the person to ask for these 😉 .
