Hello, everyone! And welcome to STAMPtember(R)! Are you excited? I know I am! All the new dies, new stamps, new card blanks! Woot-woot! STAMPtember(R) is the most awesome time of the year. If this is your first time hearing about STAMPtember(R) here’s a little explanation from Simon: an event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Doesn’t this sound fun? Lets get inky!
I am so excited to join the celebration! I have been busy stamping and die cutting for the past couple of days and I have lots of cards to share with you over the next few weeks. Today I’d like to share a video using one of my favorite stamps from the STAMPtember(R) release – Basic Stripes.

CARD DETAILS
I didn’t want to mount the stripe stamp straight onto my clear block and ended up giving it a bit of a curve for a fun and unexpected look. Love the way it turned out. I used 3 colors of ink to do my stamping – Twirling Tutu (lightest color), Teeny Bikini (medium color) and Hollyhock (darkest color). I stamped each stripe twice for a more vibrant look and also to give it a bit of an imperfection, I didn’t use misti stamping tool, but eyeballed my stamping and therefore was able to have that a bit of an imperfect stamping. My stamped stripes look like they’ve actually been painted onto the front of my card.
I also used feather stamps and dies as well as the Smile sentiment from the My Friend stamp set to stamp a few additional elements for this card. I used Duckling, Catkin and Scuba colors as well as a very pretty Stone ink.
I also used a few self-adhesive sequins from the Crate Paper’s Wonder Collection and added those onto my card for a pop of gold. The sentiment and some of the feathers were foam mounted for a bit of dimension. I also rounded the two bottom corners of this card using my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.
