STAMPtember – The Stamp Market | Pattern Stamping & Copics

Happy Sunday! I’m here to share a card featuring yet another (absolutely fabulous) STAMPtember collaboration set by The Stamp Market called Just Because. Do I like this set? I LOVE it! I’ve been wishing for some solid images lately, something that could be quickly stamped in colored ink (I don’t know about you, but I have 4 drawers full of gorgeous delicious ink colors) for a quick and easy card. But then again, I call all of my cards quick and easy, don’t I?

CARD DETAILS

When I saw the card Amy had posted on the Stamp Market Instagram account I wished I had coordinating dies for this stamp set. I don’t at the moment, so I decided to stamp a super simple pattern for a “Thanking of You” card. I pulled a few of my all-time fave ink pads from Simon – Willow, Hollyhock and Twirling Tutu and quickly stamped a very messy and random pattern consisting of green leaves, pink flowers, and black bows.

If you know me, you know I can’t resist a colored background for my card. I didn’t want this card to be white, I was craving color and so I reached for my Y15 Copic marker and did some simple coloring of the background. I intentionally outlined the stamped images leaving a bit of white gap, I didn’t want the marker coloring to touch the stamping.

To make a sentiment I stamped a tag, added “thinking of you”, fussy cut it using scissors and foam mounted on the card. Love the result!

A word of warning: coloring a background using a Copic marker does require a lot of ink, be prepared to have to refill your marker more often.
