Spellbinders | You Make Me A Happy Camper

Hello friends! Hope you are having a wonderful week. Today I have a Camper card to share I made some time ago and shared during my Simon’s Instagram Stories Takeover back in mid-December. If you missed that takeover – you’re in luck! I’m sharing this card again.

CARD DETAILS

I started working on this card by creating a watercolor galaxy background (I’m so into these backgrounds lately!). If you’d like to know how to make one – watch this video tutorial here.  I made one large enough to cover the front of my card and also to use for some die-cutting.

I adhered the galaxy onto the front of an A2 card and added a black die cut hill. Next, I started working on the camper. I cut all parts and pieces out of galaxy, black and silver paper and assembled into a camper. I also die-cut identical shaped out of fun foam with sticky on both sides and used that to foam mount my camper onto the card.

To create a scene I die-cut and embossed palm trees out of black cardstock (I was going got a night time scene) and foam mounted those onto the card framing the camper. These are two part dies meaning you can cut the trunk out of one color of cardstock and the leaves out of another. Here I used just black paper, but these look fantastic when cut out of brown and green.

Lastly, I stamped “You Make Me A Happy Camper” sentiment from Hero Arts and foam mounted it onto the card.

This camper die is one of my favorites from the latest release from Spellbinders – I’ve used it for quite a number of cards already (can’t share those cards yet) and I’m looking forward to using it over and over again.
