Spellbinders | Time Heals Sympathy/Encouragement Card with Stephanie Low’s Inked Messages

Hello friends! I have several cards to share created using a brand new Inked Messages collection of stamps & coordinating dies by Stephanie Low for Spellbinders. I had a lot of fun playing with these images and vividly coloring them using my Copic markers. Stephanie Low is a tattoo artist and she has a very unique look and feel to her designs. She has also recently started designing for Simon Says Stamp and you might have already seen some of her stamps – Earth Has Music and Strangeness.

CARD DETAILS

The card I am sharing today is a Sympathy/Encouragement with a simple, yet true message – Time Heals. I stamped images from this stamp set in Copic marker friendly ink onto Neenah 110lb cardstock and used several Copic markers in my favorite colors to color it. I went with the flick style coloring (watch video tutorial explaining this style of coloring here) for the flowers to have visible veins on the flower petals.

I used the following Copic marker colors:

• Pink: RV10, RV55, RV09,
• Blue: B000, B02, BG05;
• Green: YG13, YG17, YG63,
• Yellow: Y19, Y15.

I also coated many parts of this image using a Wink of Stella Shimmer pen for some sparkle.

To create a background for this card I went with my favorite scoring technique – I cut a piece of black cardstock and scored it horizontally at 1/2″ intervals.

I foam mounted the background on an A2 white top folding card base and foam mounted my images on top. Notice how I only used one image, but I colored it 3 times and used partials in the top and bottom corners to complete this card.
