Spellbinders | Simple Coastal Card with Ink Blended Background. Video

Hello there! I wanted to share a cardmaking video tutorial I had published on Spellbinders blog a few month ago. Still love this project made using Shoreline dies – I think it’s a perfect set for creating “let’s go on vacation” or similar type cards.

CARD DETAILS

This project also features Spellbinders Prizm Die Cutting & Embossing machine – it’s their smallest machine that is designed for crafting on the go or for a beginner cardmaker who would like to test out die cutting. I rarely use it in my craft room, but it’s a great one to take to a crafty retreat as it is small and very light weight.

I was tempted a number of times to pack it with me to go on vacation (I never actually took it as I decided to leave cardmaking at home altogether and just enjoy my free time with a book during vacation – I enjoy scrapbook murder mysteries, check out THIS post if you’d like to learn more about the books I read).

I created an ombre ink blended background using several colors of Distress inks and Spellbinders circle foams. I now often use those with my Ranger ink blending tools as I feel they hold more ink compared to circle foam pads from Ranger; they are a tiny bit bigger too (but they are more expensive).

The sentiment for this card reads Ocean’s Treasures Left Of The Shore, Nature’s Gifts to Adore; it comes from a set from JustRite Stampers and is sadly discontinued.
