Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a project that completely overtook my creative mind: the On the Farm Collection from Spellbinders! You know that feeling when you discover a product so fun and inspiring that you just have to drop everything and start crafting? That’s exactly what happened to me with this collection!
I had seen this collection online and admired what others had created with it, but I didn’t have any real plans to dive in – until last night, when inspiration struck out of nowhere! I was watching a show with my boyfriend when suddenly, I had to die cut a little piggy. And that was it—I was hooked!
Let me walk you through my creative journey, the adorable farm animals I put together, and the six cards I made in just one day!

CARD DETAILS
The On the Farm Collection is packed with adorable farm animal dies, coordinating sentiments, and many interchangeable elements to mix and match (there’s also a border die set and a set of arch dies). These aren’t just your basic die sets – each comes with clever accessories that make crafting even more fun!
Once I started die-cutting, I couldn’t stop – I just had to create as many animals as possible and experiment with different cardstock colors, layouts, and designs.
Card 1: Let’s Party Till the Cows Come Home!
For my first card, I created a super stylish cow wearing yellow rain boots and glasses (yes, I got creative with some older Spellbinders dies from my stash!).
Card Details:
- Background: New Seaside cardstock
- Sentiment: Let’s Party Till the Cows Come Home (foiled in matte black)
- Embellishments: Smart Glasses die & rain boots from previous collections
This card was all about quirky fun, and I love how it turned out!
Card 2: Live Like Someone Left the Gate Open!
This card features a stacked arrangement of farm animals with a bold sentiment that makes me smile. I used the cow, pig, and sheep dies to build an adorable farm scene with lots of personality!
Card Details:
- Sentiment: “Live Like Someone Left the Gate Open”
Design: A playful arrangement of animals stacked on top of each other
Extras: A milk jug in the cow’s mouth for an extra touch of farm charm!
Card 3: Hello, You Silly Goose!
For this one, I decided to do a grid-style layout featuring the geese die set.
Card Details:
- Background: Poppy cardstock panel (4” x 5.25”), foam mounted onto same colored A2 card base
- Sentiment: “Hello, You Silly Goose“
- Extra Details: Mud puddles and water accents in new Seaside and Anchor cardstock
I love the bold color contrast and how simple yet fun this card feels!
Card 4: You’re Still a Spring Chicken!
The chicken die set had me cracking up – so of course, I had to use the sentiment “You’re Still a Spring Chicken” for this one!
Card Details:
- Background: Fog cardstock
- Design: Chickens in various colors, also a 2×2 grid (cut from Fawn, Cranberry, Poppy, Terra Cotta)
- Extra Details: Mini eggs, tiny chicks, and a mud puddle for grounding
This is such a fun and playful birthday card idea!
Card 5: You’re Kind of a Pig Deal!
The pig set is just as cute as the rest, so I went all in with a trio of adorable piggies!
Card Details:
- Background: Fog cardstock panel (4” x 5.25”), foam mounted using thin foam squares for some dimensions, but not too much
- Pigs: Cut from Blush, Chiffon, and Simon Says Stamp Pasitively Velvet cardstock (to add a soft, fuzzy texture)
- Extras: A little fence from the sheep die set + a piggy puddle
This one is so cute and simple, perfect for a funny greeting card!
Card 6: Cow’s it Going?!
And my last card features a cow and sheet die cuts with a quicky “Cow’s It Going” sentiment.

Tips for Crafting with the On the Farm Collection:
- Mix & match accessories – Don’t limit yourself to one set! The puddles, fences, and tiny hats work across multiple animals.
- Experiment with colored cardstock – A solid background in bold colors makes the animals pop.
- Use texture for added interest. Try velvet cardstock or foil accents to make elements stand out.
- Don’t be afraid to get quirky! Glasses, rain boots, or tiny aprons make these animals even more fun!
