Spellbinders | Propagation Garden Cards. Video

Hello friends! Welcome back to my blog. Today I’m sharing cards made with the Propagation Garden collection by Annie Williams. I have several ideas to share, mostly focusing on the different ways to color the plants. I didn’t film the how-to video this time as I was in the process of packing and moving at that time, so I only have a talking video this time, still, I hope you’ll enjoy it.

CARDS DETAILS

All of my cards are A2. They feature a simple design with a potted or propagated plant or two and a thoughtful meaningful sentiment. The sentiment set is what caught my attention the most in this collection, I don’t have anything like that in my stash.

I die cut my plants from colored cardstock, but also added detail and shading using Copic markers and a white pen. I used beakers for some cards and added roots to the plants, but other plants were “potted” using parts of the beakers that resembled vases or ports.

I also used the Frames die set to create a frame for one of my cards (below) and a shelf for the plant to sit on. The only other die set I brought in to make these cards is the one with the heart. I couldn’t resist adding a little heart to some of the cards (I also coated it with glossy accents).

And this is my last card, it shows the products from this collection as they were intended by Annie Williams – I have the frame, the beakers, the roots.

I enjoyed creating these cards, I had fun coloring the plans and making them unique. Have fun die-cutting!
