Hi everyone! Today I have a few simple and colorful cards to share featuring Spellbinders Small Die of The Month for the Month of May 2018.
I wanted to get this video up sooner, but I’ve been busy with all sorts of trips lately. I have just returned from a weekend trip to Poland – we took a road trip to IKEA, there’s no IKEA in Ukraine so we had to go to another country to do the shopping, I picked up a few pieces for my craft corner and I will share a video of that soon, I am just loving how it turned out and before that I was in China for 2 weeks on a work trip so really May has been super busy for me.
I don’t have any other travel plans for the near future and that means I can get back to creating cards, filming videos and sharing them with you.
Here are the 2 cards I’ve made using Spellbinders Small Die Of The Month for the Month of May – these use just colored cardstock, stamps and some enamel embellishments and are really very easy to make.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
As always, I filmed a video tutorial showing how to create this project from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it. Watch it below or on my Youtube channel.
Like this video? Please give it a big thumbs up (you can do this on Youtube video page right under the video) and share with a crafty friend! Leave me a comment too, I love hearing from you!
CARDS DETAILS
The dies this month are all word dies that are on the edge, so the bottom edge of the word is attached, it will not be cut off, and you have Smile, Thank You, Hello and Celebrate – all of these are done in different fonts. These are perfectly sized for the A2 cards and they can go either on a landscape or a portrait card and you can also use them on a diagonal if you want.
Fun and clever dies if you ask me, these are some of my favorites from Spellbinders Small Die Of The Month club to date!
To create the Thank You cards I used Thank You die and die-cut it 4 times diagonally in white cardstock panel cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″. Next, I cut some colored cardstock into strips and adhered a strip onto each of my Thank You die cuts.
Next, I adhered them all onto a base panel, trimmed it to be 4″ wide and adhered onto an A2 white card base. To decorate I used a black cardstock strip and white heat embossed “You Are Flipping Amezeballs” from the Emphatic stamp set and “For Making My Day Brighter” from the Big Thanks Word stamp set. I foam mounted it onto the card, added die-cut leaves and embellished my card using a few enamel glitter hearts from Doodlebug.
My 2nd card, Smile, is super simple. I cut colored cardstock into skinny strips and adhered together, next I used a circle die and die-cut my colored cardstock panel into a circle shape. I die cut another circle out of white cardstock and next used Smile die to cut it into a partial circle. I adhered it onto a colored cardstock circle using foam adhesive and adhered onto an A2 white card base made out of Woodgrain cardstock.
ADDITIONAL INSPIRATION
You can also swap colored cardstock for patterned paper and have a similar look to your projects. Here are the 3 cards I created for Spellbinders earlier – all use white cardstock + pretty patterned paper:
SPELLBINDERS SMALL DIE CLUB OF THE MONTH
Spellbinders Small Die Of The Month Subscription program is just $7.5 a month plus shipping, they do have flat rate shipping in the USA for $5. So this ends up being $12.50 a month; if you live outside the USA – shipping cost depends on your location.
These dies are not available for purchase separately, you can only buy them as a member of a club. If they don’t sell out you can buy them next month, but the price is higher. So it pays to join the club and enjoy all of the club benefits. Plus you get extra 10% off all other Spellbinders products as a member of the club. See March dies here and April dies here. You can also skip a month if you don’t like the set for a particular month.
SPELLBINDERS VALUE CLUBS
You can also subscribe to multiple clubs if you like (there’s Small Die Of The Month, Large Die Of The Month and Card Kit of The Month), Spellbinders has value clubs available. See all value clubs here.

Bright and lovely!
Spellbinders does some wonderful dies Yana, but I do struggle to get hold of these due to the high priced shipping. I do hope that Spellbinders gets something sorted if not for us but for them as a producers of craft products. A great set of cards created using these small dies of month. Thank you for sharing these with us crafters. :O)
