In this video, I’m making cards and grids with the help of the Spellbinders Monster Birthday collection. It is a new collection for January 2024, it just went live today and it features images of adorable little critters, there are balloon number dies to make birthday cards and a sentiment stamp set with funny and punny messages.

DANCIN’ PANDA CARD DETAILS
Hope your day is pand-tastic! I love this clever sentiment and it pairs so well with the Dancin’ Panda die. I created a grid by die-cutting panda 4 times using black and various shades of gray. The bow was cut from glitter cardstock to add a touch of sparkle. I also added die-cut hearts as embellishments, hearts are from the Hearts Decorations set. Each panda “dances” as the legs move from side to side.
DANCIN’ DRAGON CARD DETAILS
I made this dragon using red and orange cardstock as well as some glitter paper. The grid is made by the numbers placed in the background. Number 5 is emphasized with ink blending and is made into a balloon. I used googly eyes for this dragon, you can see close-up images below.
My next card also uses the Dragon dies, the grid here is created by using green and gold glitter paper. The sentiment is foiled twice on the green paper using Matte Gold Foil (I think I could have tried foiling it on the glitter paper, too). Both dragons “dance” as their bodies move from side to side. The tail is placed upward on the bottom dragon to make sure it fits on the card.
DANCIN’ MONSTER CARD DETAILS
The monster set is the most versatile, as it gives lots of customization options and allows you to make several different monsters. For this card I made 2, one is hiding behind the number 5. I added googly eyes to some eyes and even added die-cut eyes to the number 5, just for fun.
BONUS CARD DETAILS
My bonus card uses the Monster die set as well as the Make a Wish Arch dies, this is a shaped card and the monster has heart eyes, making him my favorite of all!
He is also holding a banner that says “You’re My Everything. Isn’t he the cutest?
