If you are a fan of Spellbinders dies and their other products you know that they have started shipping their new CHA Winter 2014 release. I happen to have a few of the new dies and I’ve been making some cards to show to my Ukrainian readers. But since Spellbinders is such a popular and well known brand I though I’d share my cards with you too!
When I’m working with Spellbinders I usually make two kinds of cards, Clean & Simple – I showcase those twice a month on my blog and youtube channel. I aslo like to make more traditional, fancy cards, the Becka Feeken kind of cards.
So today I wanted to show you one of those traditional creations of mine.
Hello Friend
To create the card I used the Card Creator dies – A2 Tranquil Moments S5-216 and new In’spire dies – Silhouette IN-010. Papers are from Graphic45 from the Botanical Tea collection.
The card is standard in size – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″. Here’s another photo in daylight – you can see all the fine shadows from the die cut elements:
A few more details:
I added a few pearls to the card and used foam adhesive to create dimension
since the central element (the wreath) was too detailed to place foam adhesive behind it I used craft foam instead and created another sticky die cut piece and layered it behind the pattern paper piece
