Hello crafters and happy Sunday! Today I have a Christmas card to share featuring a brand new product from Spellbinders, actually a brand new Subscription Club from Spellbinders, a Clear Stamp of the Month.

This month Clear Stamp of the Month is called Christmas Gem, it is a 4×6″ clear stamp set, and it is only $10, a $19.99 value. So a really great deal and it is wonderful for Holiday cards. I’ve already made one card using it, and you might have already seen it on the Spellbinders social media or in their store and I thought it would be a good idea to create a similar card and show you the process as there are a few tricks to making this project.

CARD DETAILS
Follow these step-by-step instructions to re-create this card:
- Foil a border in Gold foil using the Essential Glimmer Rectangle plate on a white cardstock panel.
- Stamp the gem in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the foiled panel. Use MISTI stamping tool (or a similar stamp positioner) for perfect stamping.
- Color the image using a red Thriller Jacket pen from Jane Davenport and Spellbinders, and Copic markers: R22, R27, and R39, YG93, YG95, and YG99.
- Color the background around the gem using Copic markers: B21, B34, B99, C9, C10.
- Cut the panel out using a rectangle die. Color the edge using the C10 marker (use chisel nib).
Don’t use your brush nib for coloring the edge of the paper as it can get a paper cut and will become damaged, the chisel nib is a lot sturdier and it won’t be affected when coloring the side of the panel like this.
- Color the gem using a B000 marker.
- Heat emboss the sentiment inside the gem using Antique Gold embossing powder. Heat emboss a sub-sentiment on red cardstock in white detail embossing powder. Foam mount onto the panel.
- Mat panel with red cardstock.
- Foam mount panel onto A2 white side folding card base.
Spellbinders now offers card bases in various sizes and orientations as well as matching envelopes to go along with the card bases to mail your cards.
- Embellish the card using red sequins and blue jewels.
- Add “snow” using Jane Davenport Storytime Paint Pens.
