Simon Says Stamp | You Rock Birthday Card

Hello, friends! It is a very gloomy Sunday in my neck of the woods – the rain season seems to have started early, so it has been pouring down nonstop.

I have a colorful Birthday card to share using some oldie but goodie products from Simon Says Stamp. I enjoy making simple cards like this lately – all you need to make one is ink blend a colorful background and stamp a bold sentiment in black ink.

CARD DETAILS

I ink blended a background using Simon’s Geo Leaves stencil and several colors of ink – Sunshine, Jelly Bean, Sea Glass, and Hollyhock. I overlapped my colors slightly to create gradual transitions, I love this look.

Next, I popped the panel inside a mini MISTI tool and stamped a big Birthday sentiment from the Big Birthday Greetings stamp set. I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it in clear embossing powder.

I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted it onto an A2 white side folding card base. Lastly, I embellished it with Sparkling Clear sequins. Birthday card done!
