Simon Says Stamp | You Are Beautiful

Daily reminder – You Are Beautiful. Yes, you are. We are all beautiful inside and out. I continue to make and share simple, clean cards to replenish my stash. Made this one this morning. Once again I went with flowers as they are just timeless and always fitting on a handmade card.

CARD DETAILS

I stamped the beautiful floral cluster from Beautiful Flowers stamp set in black ink onto white paper and colored with the help of Copic marker. This is a beautiful image that can be colored for hours, I opted for a simple 3-marker blend. I used RV34, RV11, RV11 for the flowers and YG03 and YG17 for the leaves.

Back in the day, I loved the look of a slight marker outlined shadow, so I added one here using a C1 marker. It adds a nice subtle detail to the card.

Next, I stamped “Beautiful” in black ink and colored it in an ombre fashion using RV34 and RV10 markers. To create a card base I used white cardstock, I added a panel of pink at the bottom (colored using RV34 marker), trimmed my floral panel to 5 1/4 x 4 1/4″ and foam mounted it onto the card base.

Lastly, I white heat embossed “you are” (again, I used RV34 marker to make that colored piece of paper) and embellished the card with clear droplets.

Another simple card is done. I’m happy with the way it turned out. I should use this floral set more often.
