Simon Says Stamp | We Are All In This Together

I love the theme of Simon’s STAMPtember release – “We Are All In This Together” and was very happy to see a stamp set with a few sentiments saying just that.

I made the card I’m sharing today quite some time ago and if you’ve been watching Simon’s Facebook Lives you might have seen it a few times or you might have caught a tutorial for this card during my Simon’s Instagram takeover. But if you haven’t seen either of those – no worries! I’m sharing all of the card details below.

CARD DETAILS

I started working on this card by stamping the sentiment, We Are All In This Together, in black ink onto an A2 side folding card base. I used my mini MISTI and double stamped it for the blackest black possible.

Next, I stamped and heat embossed 7 leaves from the Fractile Leaves set in Gold embossing powder onto Arches Hot Pressed watercolor paper. Using my Daniel Smith watercolors I did quick wet-on-wet coloring using a few of my favorite colors.

One my leaves were dry I cut them out and shaped a bit with my fingers to make them dimensional. I arranged them on my card base and adhered one by one using glue. I had a lot of space left in between the leaves so I used my Nuvo Jewel drops in matching colors (didn’t have pink – so I used clear) and added a number of small and large drops onto my card.
