Hello, friends! I’m listening to Christmas tunes as I am writing this post and can’t help but smile. It is not yet Christmas, yet I’m already making Valentine’s Day cards. What can I say? I love to spoil my guy with little “love you” cards all year round.

CARD DETAILS
This was was fairly easy to make. First, I heat embossed stunning Cora background in Antique Gold embossing powder on kraft cardstock. I was aiming for white, red and gold color combo and so using kraft cardstock and Antique gold embossing powder here worked perfectly.
Next, I used my Jane Davenport Story Time paint pen and colored the hearts white. I love backgrounds like this one, where I can easily color just part of it using either a single marker or pen to make it pop. I trimmed the background to 3 3/4 x 5″ and foam mounted onto an A2 white card base.
To create a sentiment for this card, I white heat embossed one that reads “Every Day is Amazing When I’m With You” on Simon’s Schoolhouse Red cardstock and die-cut into a heart using a coordinating heart die from this stamp set.
I foam mounted the heart on the card and to embellish the project used sequins from the Star Spangled sequin mix. Somehow I end up using this sequins set for every card I make – I just permanently keep it on my desk.
