Happy Saturday, friends! I can’t believe today is the last day of August. It’s so cliche to say, but where has the time went? Last time I blinked, it was still Spring and I was just returning home from my work trip to China. Crazy!
If you’ve been following my recent posts you know I have been on a mission of sorts to make more simple cards to replenish my stash. I have yet another simple card to share today.

CARD DETAILS
Fun fact – I used to not like flowers. Not real flowers, not paper flowers, not any kind of flowers. It’s funny how things change. Now I love the look of beautiful blooms on my handmade cards, and I like real flowers, too. To make this card I used stamps from 2 sets from Simon – Sketched Flowers (for the stunning floral cluster) and Big Thanks Words (for the sentiment).
I colored flowers using the same marker colors I’ve been using for the past few days (RV34, RV11, RV10, RV14, RV13, YG03, YG17, YG67, Y38, Y15, Y11). I stamped two floral clusters – one at the top and one at the bottom of the panel leaving lots of empty space in the center to house a sentiment.
The main portion of the latter was stamped in black and the sub sentiments were heat embossed in white on Sunshine Yellow cardstock. The main panel was trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted on a Fog card base.
Lastly, as with the previous cards, I couldn’t resist a few small droplets from Pretty Pink Posh. I love the simplicity of this card, I love the bright and cheerful colors, and most of all, I love the sentiment. Enjoy your weekend!

I know what you mean Yana, summer came and went WAY too fast this year! On the bright side, I will be happy to get back to crafting later this fall when the weather cools down and THAT will be something I will be looking forward to.
Your card is gorgeous. The new products are rather exciting and I am looking forward to getting my hands on a few of these floral’s as I am a HUGE fan of them. Happy to see you are growing to love them too. TFS!
I got into coloring with a coloring book and I HATED coloring flowers. Would skip those pages. Now … all I seem to look for is stamp sets with flowers I can color. Can’t get enough of it sometimes!! It is “funny” isn’t it! Some changes are good and welcomed!! Beautiful colors and I like the bigger sentiment. Looking forward to seeing what’s in the hopper for Stamptember.
Thank you for your beautiful inspiration 🙂 I love the floral images and your coloring!
Beautiful card as always. As kids I remember we would hold up a daisy to our chins to see if we liked butter. If yellow powder appeared on your chin you did indeed like butter. Just a cute flower memory.
Gorgeous card, Yana. My stamp inventory is full of flowers. While I can’t seem to grow anything, I’m always attracted to the beautiful floral images I see on stamps.
Beautiful layout! I must remember that I don’t have to stamp the whole image of the floral stamp!!! I love this stamp set but get intimidated with how large the image is. This is the perfect way to break it up. Thank you!!!
Beautiful! How did you get the outline so dark?
