Simon Says Stamp | Thank You Made With Love

Hello, friends! I’m back from my trip to the UK (I’ll share more about that in another post) and I’m happy to be back to blogging and sharing my handmade cards with you. I have a busy crafty weekend ahead of me and I’m really looking forward to it – I’ve missed playing with my stamps, papers, and markers.

Today’s card is a simple, but pretty one. It features a clean heat embossed heart and a beautiful handwritten-like sentiment.

CARD DETAILS

I adore simple and classy designs like this. To begin, I white heat embossed a large heart image from the Floral Heart stamp set on Simon’s Sea Glass cardstock. I trimmed the panel to 5 x 4 1/4″ and foam mounted onto A2 white top folding card base. This heart is simply stunning as is and doesn’t really need anything else. It can be colored, if you like, I opted to keep mine clean and simple.

Next, I stamped a sentiment that reads “Thank You For Believing In Me” in black ink on white paper. This sentiment comes from School Days Grow stamp set, I just adore the look of handwriting used for this sentiment, so very beautiful!

After foam mounting the sentiment panel (yes, this card ended up having 2 layers of foam, but it can be made flatter for easier mailing) I embellished it with some flat sequins and clear droplets.

I’m thinking this design can be done in pink, some classy green and perhaps darker cardstock colors as well. I’ll have to try that.
