Simon Says Stamp | Thank You Greeting Card with Botanical Heart

Hello, friends! Happy Thursday. The week is almost over and I’m oh so looking forward to the weekend. I have a dinner planned with my cousin and I’m hoping to go for coffee with an old school girlfriend, plus of course, I’m planning for some crafty time in my craft room. Busy-busy!

Today I have a simple floral Thank You card to share featuring stamps from Simon Says Stamp.

CARD DETAILS

I started to work on this card by heat embossing the Botanical Heart in Antique Gold embossing powder on white cardstock with the help of my MISTI tool. Next, I picked several colors of Copic markers (I seem to be using the same colors for every card I make these days) and colored the flowers and leaves in.

I used: RV34, RV21, and RV00 to color the flowers pink, BV11, BV00, BV000 to color flowers violet, YG01, YG03, and G94 to color the leaves green.

I trimmed my colored panel to 3 3/4 x 5″ and foam mounted it onto A2 white side folding card base. Next, I heat embossed a circle and “Thank You” sentiment inside of it using the same Antique Gold embossing powder, cut the circle out using a die and foam mounted onto the card.

Lastly, I embellished my project using Simon’s Strawberry Shortcake sequins. I’m loving this sequin mix lately. What are your weekend plans for this weekend?
