Simon Says Stamp | Thank You – Bear Hugs Card

Hello friends! Today I have a Bear Hugs Thank You card to share. I am very much into ink blending these days and I can’t stop exploring new color combinations for my ink blending endeavors.

CARD DETAILS

I started working on my card by stamping, coloring and cutting out my bear & bees. The critters come from Simon’s Encouraging Animals stamp set. I used my Copic markers and colored bear using E79, E37, E33, E31, C1, R27 and R89, colored bees using Y35, Y13 and Y11.

Next, I white heat embossed “Thank You. Your Awesomeness Is Boundless” onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and blended Hollychock, Sunshine and Orange Slush inks over the entire panel creating a beautiful blend from pink to yellow and orange. I tore the bottom edge of my panel to add some interest.

To create a background for this card I stamped stripes using Sunshine and Duckling inks going from more saturated yellow at the top to a more softer yellow at the bottom. I stamped each stripe only once (I didn’t use my MISTI) and you can see my imperfect impressions. This is the look I was going for. I don’t often like it, but I think it worked well for this card.

Finally, I used Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh to add some fun details to this card.
