Hello friends! I’m excited to return with a simple Hugs card featuring the Simon Says Stamp new Beautiful Blooms stamp + coordinating stencil set. The stencil set caught my eye immediately and I was happy to play with it. You can purchase the stamp set separately, and the stencil can also be purchased separately, but I believe these 2 products work best when used together. Unfortunately, no coordinating dies are available (I so wish there were dies!).
I used my current go-to purple and green color combination for this card, I covered it in my Color Study Episode #1, although I went for a vibrant green instead of muted.

I used Simon’s Lilac and Amethyst inks for the purple, Pearfection, and Field for the green ink blending. The flower centers were ink blended in black ink, and I used the same black to stamp the outlines, which proved difficult to align so you can see not all of my images are aligned perfectly. I need to create a template for myself to make it easier to align in the future. I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and added to a Fog card base (love those new colored card bases from Simon). I also added a sentiment and embellished my card with a few Aura sequins from Spellbinders.
