Simon Says Stamp | One Layer Christmas Card

Hello, friends, and Happy Black Friday! To me, it still feels like we are in the middle of October, certainly not the end of November! Today I have a one layer Christmas card to share made using stamps and Copic markers. I often love simple designs such as this one, all that is needed is some masking paper, a fun stamp set, and your favorite coloring medium.

CARD DETAILS

I just checked, and sadly the stamp set I used for this card is sold out (no surprise, it is a gorgeous set!), but you can create this look using other, similar style sets you may already have in your stash. Some good alternatives are: We Believe (it is brand new), Loving You from Afar, Home Sweet Home, Christmas Town (I used a lamp post from this set to add to my card).

I did cut my stamp apart to make it easier to stamp sections of it and build this scene. Not everyone likes to do this, cut the stamps, but I don’t mind as I can easily put them back together the way they were. I used masking paper to help me build this scene. I started my stamping at the bottom of the panel and moved up. I also used a tree from Clean Line Christmas stamp set from CZ and a sentiment (the bottom one) from Tiny Words Christmas.

My coloring here was simple, no blending. I used: R27, G21, YG63, G94, BG18, B99, C1, BG11. I also used a white pen from Sakura and Jane Davenport to add snow to this scene. I love the way this turned out!
