Hello, friends! You’ve probably already seen a few sneak peeks around the web showing snippets of Simon Says Stamp newest Encouraging Words release. The release went live today and it’s oh so fun! I haven’t had the chance to make projects with every new stamp set (this is always my goal), but I have made a few using new Stitched Alphabet stamps.

CARD DETAILS
Yes, one simply cannot have too many well-designed alphabet stamps in their stash and this set is one of those must haves! You might recognize the style of the letters from a previous set from Simon called Mom and Dad icons (see this card of mine for inspiration) – I’m guessing everyone loved the style of that font and now we have a whole font set to play with, yay!
I started working on these cards by stamping letters in black ink. I used my mini MISTI and arranged the spelled out Let’s Party for one card and Celebrate for another. If you follow me on Instagram – check my story for today to see step by step for this card.
Next, I picked a few colors of Copic markers and colored my stamping – I went with bright and cheerful colors, after all these are celebratory cards and they should radiate happiness and cheerfulness.
To jazz these cards up I coated each letter with a generous amount of Nuvo Glaze (Glossy Accents will do just fine for this as well). I heat embossed It’s Your Birthday in white embossing powder onto black cardstock strips, and foam mounted them onto my cards the next morning (make sure to let the glaze dry, I left mine overnight).
