Hello, friends. We are okay. I had a lot more free time on the weekend, so I got busy making cards. I made several and I’ll share them here over the next few days.
We also bought a mattress for our shelter, so I’m now getting more sleep, and better sleep, so I also feel a little bit better and less depressed. We now sleep in the shelter regardless of the siren, as it is very hard to get up in the middle of the night if there’s a siren and run to the shelter. So we just go there ahead of time every evening, sleep there and then come back home in the morning.

CARD DETAILS
I used Simon’s Layered Tulips stamp set, it is one of my favorite for Spring (I’ve shared other cards using this set HERE, HERE, and HERE). This time I stamped each tulip in a different color of ink using 5 combos (I link them all below in my supply list). I was inspired by a multi-colored tulip bouquet I saw in a store yesterday. It was so beautiful! I’m glad to see floral shops opening their doors and selling flowers. I couldn’t resist, and bought a bunch of tulips for myself and mom.
Stamping took quite a bit of time, as each tulip had to be masked twice, once for the base layer, and once for the detail layer. But I enjoyed the process. MISTI of course helped.
I trimmed my tulip panel to 3 3/4 x 5″ and stamped a simple Hello in black ink. I also added a “Missing You at Easter” sub sentiment, I cut it out from one of Simon’s pre-printed sentiment strips.
And lastly, I embellished my card with several white gems from Spellbinders.
Thank you all for your kind words and messages. Your support is invaluable and there are no words to tell you how much I appreciate your kindness.

These cards are so beautiful! Tulips are my favorite flowers, I think because they symbolize spring and hope and renewal. It made me smile to know you bought yourself and your mom flowers! : ) I truly believe that all your little acts of kindness and creativity make a huge difference in your own heart and in the heart of your country and our world. When you create such beauty you are putting love out into the world. Never under estimate the importance of that! It makes a difference! Sending you so much love and strength, dear Yana!
Beautiful card!!!
Beautiful card! So glad you’re safe and getting better rest. I’m continuing to pray for your country.
I, too, am powerless to resist a bunch of tulips at the grocery store. I love their fresh scent, too… not really a floral smell but very fresh and springy… and different from how a daffodil smells. I love the card you shared. Really, I’m just happy any time I see anything from you that lets me know you are still all right. I find myself not able to breathe right these days. I think I’m waiting to exhale. Literally. Big hugs to you and your family and all whom you know.

Such a beautiful card! I love your continued creativity during these horrible times for you and am glad that it can bring some relief from the stress and anxiety. Continued love and prayers to you, your family and friends, and Ukraine!
My goodness girl friend…these tulips look so real…I can almost smell spring, with the sweet flowers popping their heads up thru the ground! Ahhh, imagination, the power of the mind! Thank you for your gift to all of out here in wonder land…wondering how’s my friend who is such a glorious artist, who brings us such beauty when we know her heart is breaking. Oh Lord please be with Ukraine and all of her people, please make this madness stop for the Ukraine people. Love to u’ll.
Another beautiful card. And happy to hear you are sleeping a little better. Stay safe.
Dear Yana,
I’m sooo happy you have a mattress to sleep on now, and can have a restful night without interruptions.
I look forward to every post you make, to know you and Oles are alright. Your cardmaking helps calm you and reflects your love and beauty in your creations. We have 2 planters end to end by our front walk that are full of purple crocuses right now. Then our next bloomers are red tulips as the crocuses fade out. Your tulip card brings out that beauty and cheerfulness.
Love and peace to you and Ukraine.

So pretty. Love your tulip colors. I was surprised that this was a layering stamp and not a stencil. Interesting. Love those “scapes” by Hero Arts.
Your card is beautiful. I’m so glad you’re still able to create your beautiful card. How great that flower shops are still open to sell flowers. I’m sure your mom enjoyed the lovely flowers. You are wise to have bought the mattress and go to the shelter each night to be able to sleep better. I just can’t imagine what you’re going through. Thanks for the updates. Stay safe. Prayers continue.
Quelle jolie carte.
Look for your videos every day telling us you are safe. Get worried when you don’t post for a while. Hope your mom is keeping safe too. Happy that you are safe and getting some rest and are able to relieve the stress with some crafting. Sending hugs and prayers.
Gorgeous card Yana. And you are such an inspiration
