Hello friends and Happy Halloween! I don’t actually have any Halloween projects to share today, instead I have a clean & simple Christmas card idea. This project was actually inspired by this image I spotted on Pinterest. I got intrigued by it and wanted to use my supplies to re-create it. After digging through my stash of stamps and stencils I found just the right tools for the job!

CARDS DETAILS
I wanted to do a quick tutorial for this project, but truth be told – I simply ran out of time. It is a relatively easy card to make and the hardest part to figure out (for me) in this design were the diagonal stripes. I used a Diagonal Stripe stencil from Simon Says Stamp, I made several measurements on my panel and applied white pigment ink through the stencil partially to create these lines. I removed the stencil, added white embossing powder, heat set it and repeated this on each of the 4 sides.
I used white pigment ink instead of my Versamark simply because my white pad is a lot juicer and allowed me to ink up the paper through the stencil faster. You can use either one – white pigment ink or embossing ink.
Next, I looked for a sentiment to include in the center section. I settled on Coolest Yulest from Cathy Z from Simon Says Stamp and I white heat embossed a simple “Wishing You a Merry Christmas”.
To fill the rest of the space in, I used a small tree image from the same stamp set and white heat embossed it above and below the sentiment (flipping in upside down). My favorite part of making this this card was dressing up the tree! I used jewels in Sea Glass from Pretty Pink Posh and added them as little ornaments onto both of my Christmas tree images. Love the look!
