Simon Says Stamp | Let’s Connect Release Inspiration

Hello, friends and happy Thursday. I hope you are well and enjoying Summer. I am back in my craft room creating handmade cards with the new release products from Simon Says Stamp – Let’s Connect. My today’s card combines 2 new products – a unique background stamp, Reverse Crackle Background (there’s also another one, Crackle Background), and a stunning floral set from Simon and Gina K – Summer Roses.

CARD DETAILS

I love the new Reverse Crackle Background stamp. I went ahead and stamped it in all sorts of colors of ink on white cardstock. Here’s a photo of some of the backgrounds I made, doesn’t that look pretty?

This one here was stamped in Seafoam, it is such a pretty color! I did use my MISTI stamping tool and double stamped it. If you stamp it more than 2 times you will lose some of the detail on the background, as the ink will start to bleed. So keep that in mind, if you like to double or even triple stamp your images with MISTI.

Next, I stamped a pretty rose on a stem and several leaves. I used Copic markers and colored my images. I used the following colors: YG01, YG03, YG17, RV10, RV11, R83, R85. There are coordinating dies available, so I used mine to cut these pretty images out.

The Summer Roses stamp set also includes 2 large sentiments – Enjoy and Hello. I stamped “Enjoy” in Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed it for a shiny look. The sentiments come with coordinating die (I love it!) and so mine was cut out with a die. I created an arrangement pushing the stem of the rose through the sentiment and foam mount that onto my card.

I added a sub sentiment that reads “Your Day”, there are several sentiment pairings available in this set, which makes it very versatile. Lastly, I embellished my card with sequins and jewels.
