Simon Says Stamp | Jumbo Magnolia Card

Have you seen the Magnolia Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp? Oh my! I love large design stamps like this. They are a treat to color. So much space to work with.

CARD DETAILS

I used my MISTI stamping tool and stamped this beauty in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. Next, I used my Copic markers to did simple, but dramatic coloring. The flowers were colored white using W5, W3, W1; the flower centers were colored yellow using Y11, Y08, Y35; the leaves were colored green using G21, YG63, G94, G99. The shadows were created using C5, C3, C1, and Colorless Blender.

Once the panel was finished, I adhered it to an A2 white side folding card base. To create a sentiment I foiled “Happy Birthday” one from my sentiment set in Gold foil, cut it out and foam mounted it onto the card. To embellish this project I used just a few Sparkling Clear Jewels.

This is my favorite type of card to make. Simple. Bold. Dramatic. My heart is happy.
