Hello, friends! Welcome back to my blog. I realized recently that I miss coloring flowers. I don’t know why, but it feels like it’s been ages since I last stamped and colored pretty florals for my handmade cards (even though I just shared a floral card HERE). So I looked through my stash to find any pretty flower stamps I haven’t used yet.

CARD DETAILS
I came across the “Look For The Rainbows” stamp set (I’ve actually used it last year HERE, but on a completely different style card) and decided to use these pretty florals to stamp a full card background. First, I made masks for the flowers and leaves using masking paper. It’s a tedious task, but the masks, if stored properly, can be used over and over again so I don’t mind occasionally creating masks.
Next, I started working on my background by heat embossing images in Antique Gold embossing powder. I stamped 3 main flowers, masked them and added smaller flowers next to them as well as leaves.
With the stamping done I used my Copic markers to color these. I went with my go-to colors and used RV34, RV11, and RV00 colors to color the flowers pink. I did detail coloring only on the main 3 flowers and leaves. The other flowers were just colored using an RV00 marker to give them a hint of color. As for the leaves, I used G99, G94, and YG03, also my go-to marker colors.
I adhered the colored panel onto A2 white side folding card base. To create a sentiment I used the Like You Words stamp set and Like You die set. I heat embossed “Like You” in Antique Gold embossing powder on doll pink cardstock. Next, I cut the sentiment out and also die cut additional layers to stack them and add dimension to my die cut.
I adhered the “Like You” onto the card and also added a little “I Really” strip, so the sentiment reads “I Really Like You”.
I had so much fun making the floral pattern for this card, I’ve really missed that. This is something I’d like to do more of in the future, after all, it’s one of my favorite ways to use stamps.

So beautiful Yana, very elegant.
Very nice! What colours did you use for the flower centres?
Thank you, Carolyn! sorry I forgot all about the flower centers! I used Y17 and Y08
I don’t do a lot of pattern stamping for backgrounds for some reason. I watch you do it a lot but don’t think to give it a try when I sit down to craft. On the other hand, I just absolutely LOVE the background of this card and hope to give something like it a try. It … is … beautiful. Love to color flowers and this would be a perfect style card to make. Thank you so much, Yana, for the post.
Beautiful card, but I don’t have the patience to cut all the masks you has to cut to make this jewel. Thank you for the post!
Such a beautiful card!
BEAUTIFULLY DONE, Yana!!! I LOVE what you’ve done with this! The PINK is SO YOU! ;)<3 (I've missed your "colored" cards too! ;))
The pink and gold are gorgeous together
I love the look of this card, Yana! It has such a pleasant light and airy feeling to it. I don’t have a stamp like this to create this look. I must get myself one.
This is beautiful. I love those flowers!
Absolutely stunning….
Wow!!!! This is GORGEOUS!!!!
