Do you love donuts? I love them! Too bad we can’t eat too many at once (or at least we shouldn’t lol). Speaking of donuts, we don’t have any here in Ukraine, at least not as yummy as they are in the US, so whenever hubby and I visit the states we always grab at least one each + a box to take home.

CARD DETAILS
I have been wanting to use Simon’s Donuts stamp set for a long time, but could never find the perfect topping for these stamped images and therefore have been putting this set aside. I finally got some new embossing powder, Puff from WOW and that did the trick for me and gave the look I was going for.
WOW Puff embossing powder isn’t a new product and I’m sure many of you have heard about it and probably already have it in your stash, but this was new for me. This powder is unlike the usual heat embossing powder and it puffs once heat set; works beautifully for snow.
To create the card I’m sharing today I first stamped my images in Simon’s Intense Black ink, this is a waterproof ink, so it doesn’t bleed when used with watercolor. I watercolored my stamped images using Gansai Tambi Watercolors and Distress inks and cut them out.
To add detail to the donut and make it appear more real I heat embossed the top detail layer using that Puff WOW embossing powder, love the result! The rest of the card was pretty easy to make – I have a little puppy who is super happy about his yummy donut, he is wearing a party hat and sunglasses; there’s also some stamping in the background and a hint of watercolor.

I love the cuteness you have applied to this card. Really nice.
Great card, Yana. I actually just bought a little donut maker for my niece who turns 9 soon. This card (or something similar) would be perfect to give with that gift. Thanks for sharing.
