Hello, friends. We are safe. Because we are spending so much time in our shelter now, I’ve brought a few more things from home to make it more comfortable. We hung a mirror and added some hooks for our coats. Small things, but they make a difference. If we’ll be forced to spend so much time here I might even set up a crafting table. We will see.
My today’s card is once again one full of encouragement. I used yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, as a color palette for this card.

CARD DETAILS
I first ink blended a large sun using Simon’s Sunbeam ink color. You can use any circle stencil for this, I used the circle from the Scene Builder. Next, I used another stencil, sadly it has been discontinued, and I don’t remember the name, it was also from Simon to ink blend the sea. I used Seafoam, Surf, and Ocean.
Next, I stamped a big bold “Have Faith” in Versafine Onyx Black. I also added black pre-printed strips with sub-sentiments, I cut these from the Well WishesĀ set.
I cut the panel to 3 3/4 x 5″ and foam mounted onto an A2 card base. I also embellished the card with silver gems.
I look at this and it brings me hope and sends me strength. I find cardmaking to be such a therapeutic process, especially now. It is my medicine for the soul.

What a beautiful card and a heartfelt sentiment that I would send to you. I can’t even imagine what you are going through. Stay safe, stay strong and I hope and pray that this will all be over with before much longer. Putin is a monster.

What a perfect sentiment! One all of us should holt true to our heart! This week, along with praying for you and your familyās safety, I am praying fervently that the hearts of the russian soldiers be softened towards the Ukrainian people. Iām praying that they might be enlightened to the criminal acts that they are committing. Iāve seen some YouTube footage of the capture of russian soldiers who said they were lied to by their government. They basically climbed out of their tanks and surrendered so I think my prayers are being heard by those whoās hearts are open to it. Much love Yanaā„ļøā¤ļø. Stay safe my crafty friend

Such a beautiful, impactful card, Yana. I am so glad you aren’t forgetting to take time amidst the chaos for self-care. Yes, those little things that make “not home” feel a little more like home are important. I’m so proud of what you and Oles are doing each day to help save your country from the Putin scourge. I live in Florida and have a small garden – planted with yellow and blue flowers to honor the resilience, bravery, and commitment that Ukrainians have for their country. I think of you all every single day and pray for you and all the people that have been affected. I see strength and admire you all so much – when I see the beautiful cards of yellow and blue, I can’t help but copy that in my garden. Thank you for the super example you are to so many others, still keeping busy, still keeping hope as your guiding light, still keeping the faith. I pray for peace to come to your country with determination to rebuild and to encourage all of your citizens! Thank you for your example, beautiful creativity, and gentle nature. I will go water my plants and think of you.

I adore this card. I like it even better than the similar one from earlier this week w/ corals, oranges, peaches, etc. I agree that it’s a pity that the stencil was discontinued. Oh, well… there are other similar ones. Your choice of sentiments is spot-on. Praying many times / day. Love the comments others have shared. I echo their sentiments.

Your upbeat personality and your perseverance, along with your courage – You inspire us all! I wish our President and government would step up and help out more. Iām so disheartened that they are not and feel such sadness for all your country is going through. We are all in this world together, yet your country is fighting to survive. We have put up a Ukrainian flag in our front yard stating we stand with you. Itās the leaders of countries that can start and stop wars. Your President is someone who has proved his worth. Wish we could say the same.
