Simon Says Stamp | Happy Easter Blessings Mini Slimline Card

Hello, friends. I continue to share my Easter card-making ideas and today I have a mini slimline card featuring some negative die-cutting, simple stamping and coloring, and very subtle ink blending. Check out my Easter bunny card ideas HERE (video) and HERE.

CARD DETAILS

I went with a different color combination this time and started with kraft cardstock for the background. I added hints of pink and green, along with some cream color in the open die-cut space and white for the heat embossing.

Follow these steps to re-create this card:

• Cut kraft cardstock panel to 3″x6″. Position cross die from the Clean Line Faith set in the center of the panel and die-cut. This should give you a panel with a negative die-cut cross.
• Ink blend portions of Spring Boho Circle stencil onto the panel using white pigment ink.
• Heat emboss “Happy Easter Blessings” in white embossing powder below the die-cut cross. Best to use detail embossing powder as this sentiment is rather fine.
• Foam mount kraft panel on the cream panel (cut cream panel large enough to cover the negative cross opening). Adhere onto a white mini slimline card base that measures 3 1/4″ 6 1/4″. I make my card bases from 110lb cardstock.

• Stamp florals from the Lavender Garden stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock.
• Color images with Copic markers:  YG01, YG03, RV00, RV10. Cut out using coordinating dies.
• Use smaller flowers to embellish the cross. Use floral clusters to embellish the opposite card corners.
• Embellish card with clear jewels.
