Simon Says Stamp | Floral Thank You Card

Hello, friends! I’m happy to be back on the blog sharing a simple floral Thank You card I made the other day. I had a few days off work this week and was happy to spend some quality time in my craft room – playing with my supplies, stamping pretty images and coloring them with my markers. I’ve made several cards I’ll share them over the next few days.

CARD DETAILS

Today I have a feminine Thank You card to share. I started working on this project by stamping the Leaves and Berries background in clear embossing ink on light pink cardstock and embossing it in clear embossing powder.

While this is a Holiday background stamp I think it can be used all year round and my goal was to incorporate it into a floral card. I was able to do so by changing up the colors. Here’s a Holiday card idea I shared earlier using this background stamp.

I trimmed the embossed panel at an angle, I like to call this a “modern cut” and foam mounted onto A2 white side folding card base. I wanted to add some color variation to the background, so I used a white Sakura pen and colored the dots on the background white.

Next, I stamped the beautiful flower and leaves from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set in Simon’s Intense Black ink and colored images using my Copic markers. I used RV34, RV11, and RV00 to color the flower and G99, G94 and YG03 to color the leaves. Images were cut out with the help of a coordinating die and foam mounted onto the card.

To make a sentiment I heat embossed “Thank You” from the Greetings Mix 1 set in Antique Gold embossing powder and also embossed “I Love You So Much” from the I Still Do stamp set on white cardstock, cut out and foam mounted onto the card.

This project was easy to make and I love the way it turned out. Very girly and it pictured my mood at the time perfectly.
