My today’s project takes a look at the Spring Flowers Background stamp, Copic coloring, and jewels!

CARD DETAILS
What you probably can’t see on the photo of the card above, are the tiny black jewels I added to the negative part of the background. I enjoy using this trick lately, adding jewels to the backgrounds of my cards to diversify them (see another example/idea HERE). They provide quite a wow to my cards and also add a nice tactile experience to the project.
I made this card by Gold heat embossing the Spring Flowers Background stamp on Neenah 80lb cardstock. Next, I used my Copic markers and colored the flowers and the background.
If you are afraid to color with Copic markers over heat embossing, there’s is a workaround I share. You’ll need a MISTI stamping tool for that. See the workaround HERE.
I used the following marker colors: C9, E00, E02, R20, RV10, RV11, R83, Y08, Y15, Y17, YG01, YG03, YG17. Once my coloring was done I adhered the panel onto the A2 white card base.
Next, I added a sentiment using Simon’s pre-printed sentiment cards. Finally, I adhered a bunch of black jewels from Pretty Pink Posh over the black colored negative space of the card.
