Happy Summer, everyone! I am currently trying very hard to adjust to the very hot Phoenix weather (it was 121 degrees the other day), spending a lot of time indoors with the AC on and thus doing a ton of stamping! So happy there’s new release from Simon – lots of fabulous goodies to play with!
In case you missed my previous post featuring Simon’s Dancing Fruits stamp set you can find it here, there’s also a quick technique video.
Today I’d like to share two cards using the most hilarious Fingerprint Doodles stamp set. I have one card done in pinks and yellows and one in blues and grays.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this card by stamping flamingos in black ink. I started at the very top and moved down on my panel stamping a row after row. I tried to keep everything evenly spaced, but since I was just eyeballing my stamping it’s a bit off in a few sections.
Next I picked out a few colors of ink to color my flamingos with the little fingerprint stamps included in this set. I love that there’s more than one fingerprint, there are 5 prints and that makes stamping a multicolor pattern like this much easier. The colors of inks I used are: Sunshine, Stone, Watermelon, Hollyhock and Magnolia. The new, watermelon, color add a nice touch to this card.
I foam mounted my stamped pattern onto an A2 top folding note card (I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″) and added 3 black sentiment strips that read “Be Yourself”. I didn’t want to use any other stamp set to complete this card, so to make the sentiment take more space I stamped it 3 times and foam mounted onto my project. Lastly, I added black enamel dots using Nuvo Drops in black.
Here’s another card I made using this stamp set – I picked out a few animals, enough to fill the entire row and mounted them onto a clear block. Next, I stamped them going from the bottom up – some rows I stamped in full, some left partially blank to be able to include “One Of A Kind” sentiment.
I used Stone, Orange Slush, Sunshine and Deep Sea to “color” my critters, added a white heat embossed sentiment and black enamel dots.

Great technique! Thanks for sharing it with us. I also love that flamingo card, so stinkin’ cute!
These cards are so cute! Love the funny animals! As far as stencils go, I really like using embossing paste and ink blening. I’ve also tried foiling the images. It’s really fun!!
OH MY GOSH … I love the mouse that is so cute … I must try that … lol
Loved the multi-color stampings you did on the fruit images. I will have to try that soon. Your cards were beautiful
Your card is adorable! The little critters are so fun! Thanks for sharing.
These cards are so fun and awesome! I really like your card designs using the fingerprint doodles stamps.
Those cards are amazing!
Very cute cards ! I use stencils a lot in my work, but I love die cutting as well, and stamping (even though I am not good at it :))!
Fingerprint flamingos! I think I hear a stamp set calling my name!
The new cards are awesome
I love those cards! I like using stencils mostly with embossing paste. Thanks for the chance!
I like using stencils but I love embossing effect on the projects
What fun creations!
Very cute! Love the repeat design. Simple and striking.
Absolutely amazing cards Yana!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the video too !
Fingerprint Doodle Fanatic!!!!! How fun would these be in planners for kids …even adults…like Flamingo Friday or Turtle Tuesdays 🙂 Stencils are always fun to quickly add texture, pattern, and color….and can’t have enough! 🙂
Liked all the cards but flamingo one is my favorite. Like the way you have used the stamp. Yes i do like stencil i used with inks
These are so cute! Love how you use the sentiments on both and that stamp set – need to get it! I use stencils for background mostly, still learning how much more they can be used for 🙂
Thanks for sharing! xx
Very cute! I love the color combination for the flamingos.
Love your cards! The color combinations are so pretty, The flamingo card is adorable.
Love those thumbprint animals! Love the colors you used on both of those cards! I do use stencils but need to bring them out more often. My favorite technique is emboss resist.
I love both of these cards, especially the flamingos!
Love the multi color stamping and the fingerprint cards are adorable!
Too cute!! I have never used stencils before but it is something on my list of techniques to try. 🙂
Luv this release!
That definitely sounds like stamping weather – that’s 49C! Such fun cards – love the colours you’ve used and the contrast of the black sentiment strips against them.
Those fingerprint card really bring a smile to my face…just adorable!
I love those flamingos they are adorable!
I love the fingerprint animals and what a great idea to have the five finger prints to speed up the process! And repeating the sentiment 3 times to fill in the space is so smart! Awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing!
Love the color combinations of your two cards. The Fingerprint Doodles set is just too cute! I do like using stencils for creating backgrounds. It’s an easy and quick way to add impact to your design.
Amazing cards!
I do love using stencils, mostly with inks.
I love this stamp set, and you did a great job with it. Love your cards.
Forgot the stencil question. I do not use stencils very often. I have some. I have been wanting to try them with embossing paste and am working up to it.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards. Those fingerprint critters are so cute, and your fruit card is lovely with the large sentiment ‘hooray’, the font is different and the white on black looks great. I like stencils so long as I have them taped in place first. Love spray inks, they are a bit messy but combinations can give unusual results. Really want to try foiling, I have all I need except my printer is an inkjet.
Love the flamingo finger print card! Love the sentiment on there 3 times!
Love the Fingerprint Doodles cards!
The flamingo card is so cute! I love my stencils!
I absolutely LOVE stencils and enjoy inking and using modeling paste with them ~ you have some great projects here. Thanks for the inspiration and thank you for the chance!
super cute cards!!! I love stencils but usually use them with some sort of paste….
Both of these cards are great! I love the Fingerprint Doodles stamp set 🙂
Love your cards!! Wasn’t too sure of this stamp set but after seeing your cards I’m a fan! Love it!! I do like using stencils. I can’t say there’s any specific technique I prefer other than colouring it with inks, watercolours, pastes, etc
Absolutely love your cards, you used my favourite set from this release! 🙂 I do like using stencils, but I rarely do, truth be told. Once I start, though, I then usually go stencil crazy for a while 😉
I really love the fingerprint cards! Such a cute pattern you created for your cards. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely as always!
Love the new release! And love your cards! And I do like stencils! Trying to use them as much as I can!
Love your color combos! I hope you don’t melt!!!
Love your design of image plus interspersed sentiments. Must try that. Stencils? Most fun probably with embossing paste to add texture.
