Happy Summer, everyone! I am currently trying very hard to adjust to the very hot Phoenix weather (it was 121 degrees the other day), spending a lot of time indoors with the AC on and thus doing a ton of stamping! So happy there’s new release from Simon – lots of fabulous goodies to play with!
In case you missed my previous post featuring Simon’s Dancing Fruits stamp set you can find it here, there’s also a quick technique video.
Today I’d like to share two cards using the most hilarious Fingerprint Doodles stamp set. I have one card done in pinks and yellows and one in blues and grays.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this card by stamping flamingos in black ink. I started at the very top and moved down on my panel stamping a row after row. I tried to keep everything evenly spaced, but since I was just eyeballing my stamping it’s a bit off in a few sections.
Next I picked out a few colors of ink to color my flamingos with the little fingerprint stamps included in this set. I love that there’s more than one fingerprint, there are 5 prints and that makes stamping a multicolor pattern like this much easier. The colors of inks I used are: Sunshine, Stone, Watermelon, Hollyhock and Magnolia. The new, watermelon, color add a nice touch to this card.
I foam mounted my stamped pattern onto an A2 top folding note card (I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″) and added 3 black sentiment strips that read “Be Yourself”. I didn’t want to use any other stamp set to complete this card, so to make the sentiment take more space I stamped it 3 times and foam mounted onto my project. Lastly, I added black enamel dots using Nuvo Drops in black.
Here’s another card I made using this stamp set – I picked out a few animals, enough to fill the entire row and mounted them onto a clear block. Next, I stamped them going from the bottom up – some rows I stamped in full, some left partially blank to be able to include “One Of A Kind” sentiment.
I used Stone, Orange Slush, Sunshine and Deep Sea to “color” my critters, added a white heat embossed sentiment and black enamel dots.

Hi Yana ~ Love the way you’ve done both fingerprint cards….they’re absolutely adorable. My four year old grandson loves getting inky and making things out of his fingerprints so will be thrilled when this set arrives! Thanks for sharing. ~HUGS~

This Fingerprint Doodles set is so cute. Love your colorful card.
These are so cute and adorable! Plus this stamp set makes for a relatively easy card!
First off, your work is amazing!! I have tried using the stencils a couple of times and I am having a little difficulty using the embossing paste. Looks to me that I am not getting a nice smooth coverage….any suggestions!?
Love what you created!!!
Very cute
Love your cards — love how you show different ways to use the stamps.
I love using stencils. I really like blending different distress inks and then spritzing with water.
Adorable cards. Such a unique stamp set. I do like working with stencils and am always looking for new/creative ways to use them. I think the technique I enjoy the most with stencils is using embossing/texture paste with them. So much can be done using this technique. Thanks for sharing, Yana. It’s been really hot down in Tucson too. The only consolation some days is that at least it’s not as hot as it is in Phoenix. (Sorry!) Stay cool!
Such cute cards! Gotta love those prints!
Cute cards. I couldn’t see where you were off anywhere, and if you were, it only adds to the charm of the “handmade” card! So fun!
Love these very cute cards. Thanks for inspiring me.
