Simon Says Stamp | Easy DIY Autumn Wreath Card

I can’t wait for Fall to get here! I’ve been browsing Autumn images on Pinterest this morning and felt inspired to create a simple Fall wreath card. I quickly looked through my stash and came across Four Seasons Saying stamp set from Simon Says Stamp which was perfect for the idea I had in mind.

CARD DETAILS

I started making this card by drawing a circle on a piece of white paper. It outlined my wreath and gave me an idea where I wanted to stamp my sentiment. I picked Sending Autumn Your Way message (I love that all of these words are separate and one can customize a sentiment in different way – it can be “Sending Summer Your Way” or “Sending Spring Your Way” etc). I first stamped Autumn in Dark Chocolate, but later heat embossed it in Antique Gold embossing powder. For the “sending” and “your way” I used Orange Slush ink.

Next, I used two leaf images from the same stamp set and stamped them following the drawn circle creating a wreath. I used several colors of ink – Catkin, Coral Reef, Clementine, Lipstick Red, Orange Slush, Melon. None of these are necessarily fall colors, but they all worked well together to create this fall card.

I also stamped several tiny hearts filling in the gaps in my wreath. Once my stamping was done I trimmed panel to 4″ square and heat embossed edges in Antique Gold embossing powder. I made a 4 1/4″ square card base using Burnt Orange cardstock and foam mounted my panel on top. Lastly, I embellished my simple card using some confetti.
