Hello friends! I have one last minute Easter card to share using some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp – Doodle Egg background and Easter Greetings clear stamp.

CARD DETAILS
The background for this card was a bit tricky to make, but I enjoyed the challenge. Using my Stamp Platform I stamped the Egg Doodle background in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink onto white paper (I stamped the image off first and did second generation stamping). Keeping the stamp in my platform I colored each egg in using Copic markers. I ended up coloring about 5 eggs in one color – made sure to have them scattered on the card.
Once my coloring was done I gave my background some time to dry and treated it with an anti static powder tool. Next, I inked up same background with clear embossing ink, stamped it over my coloring and heat embossed in white embossing powder. I used Detail White from Hero Arts (this is new to me powder, and I love the results I’m getting when using it). While this took longer than usual, I wanted to make sure to have each egg have it’s own color.
I trimmed my background and foam mounted onto an A2 white card base.
Next, I stamped, colored and fussy cut several bunnies and foam mounted them onto the background making it look like as if they are peeking from behind the eggs. Added simple “Greetings” and embellished this card with white Nuvo drops.

What a lovely Easter card! The colours for the eggs are perfect for Easter and the white heat embossing adds detail and makes each egg pop. And then those cute little bunnies peeking from behind the eggs is just too cute. Love it!!
