Simon Says Stamp | December Card Kit - Hidden Gift Card Pocket Card

Hello friends! Its time for a new Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp! I got mine while I was at a crafty retreat and was anxious to get home to playing. This kit is probably one of my most favorite kits this year, mainly because of the Doodlebug papers and stickers and Chibitronics Lights (I also adore October kit, the stamp set was simply fantastic and August kit – again thanks to the stamp set with stars and constellations).

CARDS DETAILS

The set of stickers included in this kit was simply the cutest and I couldn’t resist using dimensional mail box for my project.

I started working on my card by adhering red diagonal stripe patterned paper onto an A2 top folding card base. I foam mounted a panel made out of Surf Blue cardstock over patterned paper for a pop of dimension. I also wanted to foam mount the envelope, but to make it more stable I adhered it onto a piece of cardstock I had on my desk.

I made sure to thread red & white twine under the envelope to be able to close the envelope. I really liked little images included with the patterned paper, so I cut one of them out and adhered onto the envelope flap. I also adhered the mailbox onto the corner of the image (I used my anti static powder tool to remove stickiness from the rest of the sticker) and tucked a little envelope inside it.

Lastly, I heat embossed “Christmas Wishes” in white embossing powder, added a little red heart and adhered it onto the envelope.
