Simon Says Stamp | December 2019 Card Kit – Gnome For The Holidays

Hello, friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving week. I’m back in my craft room busy making Christmas cards for the Holiday season and also decorating our home for the holidays. Today I have a Christmas card to share using supplies from Simon’s December 2019 Card Kit. The other day I shared 3 cards made using mostly patterned papers from the kit, the card I have for you today focuses on using the stamp set, some simple stamping, and coloring.

CARD DETAILS

I started working on this card by stamping the image of a gnome and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” sentiment in Intense Black ink on 4 x 5 1/4″ white cardstock panel. I also stamped Christmas trees slightly overlapping the gnome.

You know me, I love to color using Copic markers, so I colored these images using my Copics. I used the following colors: R39, R27, R24, R22, G99, G94, YG03, E31, C1.

Next, I stamped images of gifts on another panel of white cardstock, colored them using the same colors of Copic markers and cut out right up to the edge using scissors. I stamped the same images on my main panel and foam mounted the colored images over them giving my card a bit of dimension.

To mimic snow, I used a white Sakura pen and added a bunch of white dots over the green-colored trees. Next, I covered A2 white card base with patterned paper from the December kit and adhered the main panel on top.

Lastly, I embellished this card using sequins from the Star Spangled sequin mix.
