Simon Says Stamp | Colored Pencils On Black With a Stencil. Encouragement Card

Hello friends! Have you ever tried using your colored pencils with a stencil? I had this idea to try and color via a stencil and finally gave it a try a few days ago. I loved the result and couldn’t wait to share with you!

CARD DETAILS

This is a simple technique, yet very striking and not hard to do (and imagine all of those stencil you have in your stash – you can use them with your colored pencils!).

I wanted to have a black background (if you know me, you know I love dark, bold background) so I cut a piece of Simon’s Black cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ and taped it onto Simon’s Abstract Triangle stencil.

Next, I pulled out my Polychrmos pencils by Faber Castell, picked a few of my favorite colors and colored away! I didn’t want to color every section, but rather wanted to have some sort of a colored pattern.

Once my background was done I white heat embossed a sentiment that reads – Trust Yourself. You Have Never Been More Ready To Succeed, added several clear Nuvo Drops and called this card done!
