Simon Says Stamp | Birthday Card Idea Take #1 – 365 Days More Fabulous

I am determined to replenish my stash of Birthday cards to have more on hand. Different kinds of cards, different styles, for different recipients. I never seem to have enough. So here’s the first one (of hopefully many Birthday cards). It is easy to make, just takes some coloring.

CARD DETAILS

Follow these steps to re-create this Birthday card:

• Stamp girl holding a bouquet and 3 butterflies from Simon’s Bouquet for Mom stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, emboss in clear embossing powder.

Alternatively, stamp in Copic marker-friendly ink to skip embossing.

• Color with Copic markers. I used: Y11, Y08, Y35; G99, G94, YG03; R85, R11, RV00; RV09; E000, E00. Add white polka dots over the dress using Sakura white pen.
• Cut images out using coordinating dies. Die-cut 3 additional blank cardstock layers for the girl die cut, glue together and adhere girl die-cut on top to make it sturdier. It will feel like a shipboard die cut.
• Stamp “Let’s Get This Party Started” in Versafine Onyx Black onto white 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ cardstock panel, off to the left. Foam mount girl die-cut in the center. Foam mount butterflies. Stamp dotted lines next to butterflies.
• Cut “365 Days More Fabulous” and foam mount over the bouquet.
• Embellish card with Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Simple, quirky, cheerful Birthday card done. Lots more to go.
